To Configure 3g connection in Moto G follow the steps

1) Dial *111*6# from your Moto G

     Choose option number 4 (Activate New 3g plans)

     Choose a Plan (recomended 100mb for Rs 26 for testing)

     Conformation of Activation of plan receives within 3hrs

2) Go to settings

     In Wireless & Networks select  "More"

     Select "Mobile Networks"

     Select "Prefered network type" as 3G

     Select "Access Point Names"

     Confirm Vodafone Connect is selected also check the following

     Name - Vodafone Connect

     APN - www

     Proxy,Port,Username, Password,Server,MMSC,MMS port - Not set

     MCC - 404 , MNC - 46

     Authentication Type - None

     APN type - default

    APN Protocol - IPv4

    APN roaming protocol - IPv4

    Bearer - unspecified

    MVNO type - None

   (If not set it and save....Touch the Top vertical dots for Save menu)

Now 3g is Configured.

But in Kerala getting 3g is sometimes difficult.Sometimes for the first time you cannot acess 3g. So you have to force

Moto G to connect 3g.Their is no Stock setting for forcing,so we need an Application named "Network" from Play

Download it and install.

Turn On the Mobile Data.(Settings-Data usage-Mobile data)

Download Data ON-OFF and add put its widget in Homescrren for quick Data ON-OFF

Open Network App .... Scroll....

You can see :"Set preferred network type"

Default is "Gsm"

Change it to WCDMA only or LTE/WCDMA (In my Case LTE/WCDMA works fine)

Done.. if you are under 3g tower you get the signal strength icon denotes H+ when 3g is sucessfully connected.

Change the option back to "Gsm Only" when you arein a weak signal area.

When changed to Gsm the icon changes to E where an Edge connection(2g) is available.

THE MENU BAR IS HIDDEN BY DEFAULT IN WINDOWS 7.INORDER TO SEE THE MENU BAR TEMPORARILY  SIMPLY HOLD THE “ALT” KEY FOR A FEW SECONDS AND RELEASE .YOU CAN SEE MENU BAR IN THE EXPLORE WINDOW. TO HIDE THIS AGAIN HOLD THE “ALT” KEY FOR FEW SECONDS OR BACK .

GO TO CONTROL PANNEL – APPREANCE & PERSONILIZATION –CLICK  FOLDER OPTIONS

CLICK “VIEW “ TAB

MARK “ALWAYS SHOW MENU OPTIONS”

APPLY - OK

IT IS JUST LIKE RECENT DOCUMENTS IN WINDOWS XP.TO KNOW WHAT IS JUMP LIST

CLICK START

IN THE LEFT SIDE IS THE MOST RECENTLY OPENED APPLICATIONS.

MOVE THE CURSOR TO THE APPLICATION “NO NEED TO CLICK THE APPLICATION “

A WINDOW OPENS WITH THE RECENLY OPENED FILES WITH THAT PARTICULAR APPLICATION

THIS IS THE “JUMP LIST FEATURE”

While not all Start menu items will have Jump Lists, those that do display a small black triangle graphic, indicating that that item expands to display its Jump List when highlighted.

LIKE IN WINDOWS XP YOU CAN’T SEE THE BUTTON SHOW DESKTOP IN THE TASKBAR. THIS IS REPLACED BY “AERO PEEK”. AERO PEEK IS LOCATE IN THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER OF THE TASK BAR.MOVE THE MOUSE  ON THIS YOU CAN SEE DESKTOP,WHEN YOU MOVE IT  THE DESKTOP DISAPPEARS.IF YOU CLICKED IT ONCE ALL OF THE OPEN WINDOWS ON YOUR SYSTEM WOULD BE MINIMIZED AND COULD ACESS THE DESKTOP.CLICK IT AGAIN,AND ALL THE WINDOWS ARE RETURNED TO THE STATE.

TURN ON AND OFF AERO PEEK

Right-click a blank area of the taskbar and choose Properties. In the Taskbar Start Menu Properties window appears, uncheck the option Use Aero Peek

to preview the desktop. Aero peek is turned OFF.
